Timetable

Study is self-directed and can be undertaken to suit your own availability. We recommend spending approximately 20 – 25 hours per week to ensure you can take advantage of the range of resources available.

Individual study times will differ depending on what personal clinical experience and medical knowledge you already have. As this course is designed to help prepare for the AMC MCQ examination, participants may need to spend further time revising particular topics if knowledge and practice are not at the level required by the AMC.

• Therapeutic Guidelines – access to the online Therapeutic Guidelines (eTG complete) for the duration of the course
• Written topic overviews – key medical condition topics available to review and revise
• Filmed expert lectures – experts discuss key topics that the AMC can test on
• Recorded tutorial presentations – HEAL tutors provide key topic overviews and MCQ discussions for revision
• MCQ activities – learn effective exam technique through MCQ practice and authoring tasks
• Further resources – guidance on where to find relevant external resources to guide and focus your personal study
• Peer interaction – via an online forum
• IMG Connect - you will be automatically enrolled in HEAL's exclusive platform for HEAL students, IMG Connect, where you can access free resources to help you confidently transition into the Australian medical workforce once you pass your AMC exams.

Required Course Materials

The AMC Handbook of Multiple Choice Questions is required for this course. If you don’t have a copy you can purchase one at the AMC website. Please allow for delivery time.
